VOLLEYBALL

The IHSA Web site has not released its schedule for the 2011 IHSA Class 1A state tournament, and will not do so until October 7 at about 4 p.m.

However, the site did reveal that (just like last year) Blue Ridge will host its own regional. The Lady Knights will be joined in that regional by the following teams: Cerro Gordo, Decatur Lutheran, DeLand-Weldon, Decatur Christian, Mount Pulaski and Niantic Sangamon Valley.

The winner of the Farmer City Blue Ridge Regional will move on to the Mount Pulaski Sectional. The winner of that sectional will play in the Danville Schlarman Super-Sectional.

The winner of that super-sectional will earn a trip to the state tournament, which will be played at Normal's Redbird Arena.
