Blue Ridge Golf: Amber Tsevelekos Finishes Fourth in Girls Heart of Illinois Conference Tournament; Boys Team Gets Fifth in HOIC Tourney


NORMAL, Ill. -- Amber Tsevelekos finished fourth among indivdual golfers at a rainy Weibring Golf Club by shooting a 91.

Melinda Wilson and Megan Tsevelekos shot a 107 and 119 for the Lady Knights, respectively. Blue Ridge did not have a team score for the HOIC Tournament because it only had three entrants.

LeRoy's Molly Marcum medaled at the tournament with a score of 78. Emily and Katie Spangler, both from Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley, finished in second and third, respectively, among individual golfers by shooting an 80 and an 87.

The Lady Falcons, with a combined score of 361, won the girls tournament.


NORMAL, Ill. -- Austin Maxwell was Blue Ridge's leading scorer, shooting an 89.

Will Duggins was second among the Knights with a score of 93. C.J. Bishop and Dylan Weidner each shot a 95 to contribute to Blue Ridge's final score of 372.

As a result, the Knights finished fifth out of 12 teams at Weibring Golf Club. 

El Paso-Gridley was the winner of the HOIC Tournament with a team score of 322. Kyle Colmone led the Titans by shooting a 78.

Tri-Valley's Austin Sproles medaled by shooting a 74. 

Mason Potts and Justin Jamison shot a 98 and a 107, respectively. Neither score contributed to Blue Ridge's final score.
