Farmer City Raceway: Daniel Flessner, Bobby Pierce Among #WINNING Drivers on July 15

FARMER CITY, Ill. -- At the Farmer City Raceway, a flavored ice stand called Sno Biz sold $3 and $5 cups of what they call Tiger's Blood.

I don't know what type of tiger blood Charlie Sheen claims to have, but Sno Biz's tiger blood contains strawberry and coconut flavorings. One of the vendors at the Sno Biz stand says he has been selling the brand of flavored ice for 18 years.

In this observer's opinion, their tiger blood is refreshelicious (refreshing and delicious at the same time).

Anyway, let's take a look at who was #WINNING on the Farmer City Raceway dirt on July 15.

SPORTSMAN

For some drivers, this was a rough day on the racetrack, as the yellow flag spent a lot of time being waved in the air.

In the first heat of the Sportsman Division, Dustin Mounce of Pontiac, Rod Rusher (Mansfield) and Richie Rich (Pontiac) collided between the first and second turns.

Mounce bounced back from the crash (or Mounce-d back, if you will) and ended up winning the heat. He also held the lead for much of the feature race.

However, after Thawville native Daniel Flessner took the lead in the feature, Mounce experienced car trouble once again. He could not finish the race.

Following Mounce's exit, Flessner never surrendered the lead and won in a landslide. Rusher finished fourth in the feature while Rich ended up in sixth place.

LATE MODELS

The Late Models Division also experienced some notable crashes.

During hot laps, Zach Bunning of Decatur took a spill on the first turn.

In his qualifying run, Princeville's Russ Adams crashed into the Farmer City Raceway wall and ended up flattening his right-front tire.

Both drivers raced, and finished, the feature.

Oakwood native Bobby Pierce, whom the public address announcer called "the short, cool one," won his third feature race of the season. He overcame Derek Chandler of Pontiac.

"I just Kept to the bottom, and it worked out," Pierce said to the PA announcer.

Perhaps the most horrific crash took place during the Modifieds Division's first heat.

Rick Hamilton of Decatur ended up having his car turned upside down. He walked away from his car, but did not finish the feature race.

Chatsworth's Lance Dehm held the lead for the majority of the feature race. However, with less than five laps remaining, he lost the lead to Jeff Leka of Buffalo, then surrendered second place to Pontiac native Jay Ledford.

Leka won the race while Ledford finished second and Dehm took third place.
