A couple of days after losing the Nnamdi Asomugha Sweepstakes, the Jets gave Burress a one-year deal, teaming him up at the wide receiver corps with Santonio Holmes.
As my brother Brian says (jokingly, of course), "It just goes to show you that, when you shoot someone in the leg, and that someone is yourself, good things can happen."
