LEXINGTON, Ill. -- Last month, Blue Ridge experienced its first Heart of Illinois Conference match loss against El Paso-Gridley, leaving El Paso with a 25-21, 25-19 defeat.
The Titans upset the Lady Knights once again, this time in the HOIC quarterfinals. After winning the first game, Blue Ridge lost the last two to exit the conference tournament with a 15-25, 25-17, 15-10 loss.
Kaitlyn and Emily Zelhart led Blue Ridge. Kaitlyn recorded 17 kills and Emily had 26 assists.
Chandler Morrow finished the match with 17 digs and one ace. Gabby Pearl had 1.5 blocks and Jessica Schrock recorded one ace.
With the loss, the Lady Knights are now 20-6. They will play in the HOIC consolation semifinals against Fisher on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
