Amber Tsevelekos' Season Ends at Kankakee McNamara Sectional

ST. ANNE, Ill. -- Amber Tsevelekos was the only Blue Ridge girls golf member who qualified for sectionals.

Now, the season is officially over for Blue Ridge golf, as Tsevelekos failed to place in the top 10 among individual qualifiers at Oak Springs Golf Club.

She shot an 88, one stroke shy of qualifying for the state tournament. Gina Vallone of Bishop McNamara Catholic claimed the final qualifying spot with a score of 87.

Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley's Emily Spangler was the second qualifier at the Kankakee McNamara Sectional with a score of 77.

Molly Marcum of LeRoy shot an 84 to earn the eighth qualifying spot.
