Blue Ridge Boys Golf Advances to Tuscola Sectional

DANVILLE, Ill. -- The Knights recorded a team score of 357, putting them two strokes ahead of Danville Schlarman for third place in the Bismarck-Henning Regional at Danville's Harrison Park Golf Course.

The third-place finish gives Blue Ridge the final qualifying spot for the Tuscola Sectional, which will be played next Monday at Tuscola's Ironhorse Golf Club.

Austin Maxwell was the Knights' leading scorer with 84. Mason Potts shot an 87.

Will Duggins and Dylan Weidner also contributed to Blue Ridge's final score, shooting a 92 and a 94, respectively.

Justin Jamison scored a 103 and C.J. Bishop recorded a 112. Neither score counted toward the Knights' final score.

Bismarck-Henning and Tuscola also qualified for sectionals by shooting a 314 and a 343, respectively.

Tuscola's Cameron Westjohn medaled at the Bismarck-Henning Regional with a score of 72.
