BETHANY, Ill. -- The Lady Knights led the Lady Maroons 25-18 at halftime after a 15-7 second quarter.
However, Clinton outscored Blue Ridge 25-11 in the third quarter en route to a 58-50 win and a third-place finish in the Okaw Valley Holiday Tournament. The Lady Knights settled for fourth place in the tourney.
Jamison Brandt was Blue Ridge's leading scorer with 14 points, as the Lady Knights did not attempt a single 3-point shot.
Jacquelyn O'Neal, who was named to the All-Tournament Team, finished with 11 points.
Bailey Clancy had 11 points as well. Melinda Wilson also scored in double digits, tallying 10 points.
The Lady Maroons were led by Haley Toohill, who was also named as a member of the All-Tournament Team. Toohill had 16 points, including 8-of-10 shooting at the free-throw line, while Madi Bevins got 12 points thanks in part to 3-of-9 shooting from 3-point range.
With the loss, Blue Ridge falls to a record of 7-9. The Lady Knights will return to action on Monday, when they travel to Minonk to face Fieldcrest.
