GIBSON CITY, Ill. -- Three weeks ago, the Knights beat the Falcons 73-65 in the GCMS Thanksgiving Tournament to claim their first victory of the season.
On Friday, Blue Ridge fell behind 37-34 lead at the end of the third quarter. However, the Knights outscored the Falcons 15-8 in the fourth en route to its second victory in Gibson City.
Travys Nichols led Blue Ridge with 18 points. Thirteen of those points were scored in the second half, and eight in the fourth quarter.
Michael Plunk and Tucker Johnson each added 11 points for the Knights.
With the win, Blue Ridge improves to 3-6 overall and 1-3 in the Heart of Illinois Conference. The Knights will begin playing in the Monticello Tournament on December 27.
