FITHIAN, Ill. -- The Lady Knights outscored Westville 17-2 in the first quarter en route to a 42-23 victory.
After getting outscored 10-5 in the second quarter, Blue Ridge gained 12-6 and 8-5 advantages in the third and fourth quarter, respectively.
Jamison Brandt led the Lady Knights with 15 points. Jacquelyn O'Neal contributed 12 points while Melinda Wilson scored 11.
O'Neal also grabbed 13 rebounds and blocked three shots. Blue Ridge had a total of 30 steals as a team.
Jeana Cheek and Bailey Clancy each finished with two points.
With the win, Blue Ridge improves to 1-1. The Lady Knights will continue playing in the Comet Classic with a doubleheader today.
They will face Shiloh at 4:30 p.m. and play against Milford at 7:30 p.m.
