FITHIAN, Ill. -- Jacquelyn O'Neal and Jamison Brandt scored double-digit points in a losing effort, as the Lady Knights lost to the Lady Bearcats 47-40.
Each team made 18 field goals, but Milford made 11-of-22 free-throw attempts compared to Blue Ridge's 4-of-6. The Lady Knights outscored the Lady Bearcats 21-17 in the second and third quarters combined.
Milford, however, took an 16-8 first-quarter lead and outscored Blue Ridge 14-11 in the fourth quarter.
O'Neal and Brandt scored 14 and 13 points, respectively, to lead the Lady Knights. Melinda Wilson had five points, Bailey Clancy recorded four points and Jeana Cheek and Liz Cordes each finished with two points.
Blue Ridge also lost to Shiloh 59-34. Wilson was the leading scorer with nine points while O'Neal grabbed eight rebounds.
The Lady Knights (1-3) will continue playing in the Comet Classic on Wednesday, when it faces Georgetown-Ridge Farm at 5 p.m.
