Jacquelyn O'Neal Advances to Three-Point Showdown Sectional Final

COLFAX, Ill. -- The Lady Knights' leading scorer of 2011-12 once again showed her versatility

O'Neal averaged 15.3 points, 12.1 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 3.3 blocks for Blue Ridge during the season. She also made 15-of-37 (41 percent) of her 3-point shots.

On Monday, O'Neal advanced to the Colfax Ridgeview Sectional finals of the Three-Point Showdown. She will be joined by Ashley Walker of LeRoy, Fisher's Elyssa Browning and Sydney Freed of Lexington.

LeRoy beat Heyworth 52-46 to advance to the sectional finals as well. The Panthers will face the winner of Urbana Uni-High/St. Anne at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, before which the Three-Point Showdown will occur.

Prior to Monday's Uni-High/St. Anne tip-off, Sarah Mowrey (St. Anne), Leslie Chambers (Champaign Judah Christian), Holly Huckstadt (Danville Schlarman) and Jamie Blue (Urbana Uni-High) advanced to the sectional finals of the Three-Point Showdown.
