Deer Creek-Mackinaw 47, Blue Ridge Boys Basketball 41

MACKINAW, Ill. -- The Knights held a 34-32 lead after three quarters.

They outscored the Chiefs 12-10 and 15-11 in the second and third quarters, respectively, after trailing 11-7 following the first quarter. However, Dee-Mack outscored Blue Ridge 15-7 in the fourth quarter en route to the victory.

Michael Plunk led the Knights with 14 points, as the Plunk brothers accounted for more than 70 percent of their team's points. Mark Plunk finished the game with eight points while Josh Plunk tallied seven points.

Tucker Johnson contributed nine points while Jon Jones finished with three points.

With the loss, Blue Ridge falls to 7-15 overall and 3-6 in the Heart of Illinois Conference. The Knights will host a conference game against Tri-Valley on Friday.
